Paintings, sculptures, photographs and jewelry stand out in 'The Auction' of A La Rueda Rueda

On November 16, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Bogotá, the A La Rueda Rueda Foundation will hold its annual auction in a hybrid format. With the corporate reason of supporting vulnerable children and adolescents in the Caribbean region, the bid will have 50 lots in which sculptures, paintings and photographs by prominent artists and teachers will be found. Eduardo Salazar-Yusti, one of the great art collectors, will be in charge of the hammer and the event will be hosted by actor Jorge Enrique Abello.

“We believe in culture in the construction of societies and in its value as a means to face challenges, now more than ever and through La Subasta, which seeks to make visible the work of both young artists and creatives with a consolidated trajectory” said María Victoria Estrada, its director.

The event summarizes the desire to support art, invest socially and have the possibility of carrying out important projects in Colombia through the lots that can have works from $5 million to $194 million.

In the lots, works by great Colombian masters such as Enrique Grau, Alejandro Obregón, Eduardo Ramírez Villamizar, Hernán Díaz, Carlos Rojas, Ana Mercedes Hoyos, Beatriz González, Santiago Cárdenas, Edgar Negret, Omar Rayo, Manuel Hernández, Juan Cárdenas will be auctioned , or Leopoldo Richter.

In turn, there will be works by 49 additional contemporary artists, including: Juanita Martínez, Jeison Sierra, Saír García, Federico Uribe, Gabriel Ortega, Alejandro Sánchez, Daniel Samper, Efraín Zúñiga, Juan Carlos Delgado, Nadin Ospina, among other names.

In the dynamism of the event, there will also be three special lots in which six works made by the children and young beneficiaries of the foundation will be presented, this in order to promote and support their creativity and artistic projection.

Three batches of Bauer de Bogotá jewelry pieces will also be available for those who are interested.

There you can register and select how to participate. The virtual registration will have a donation value of $500,000, while the face-to-face, $800,000.
