Two concerts of the Baroque Ensemble “Fantasmi” in Bogotá

'Music for theater and the Real artistic scene: Virtuosity of European Baroque art of the 17th and 18th centuries', is the name of the program that, in two concerts, will present the baroque ensemble "Fantasmi", made up of a new generation of early music specialists from the University of North Texas, of which, among others, the Colombian violinist Diego Villamil is a part.

“Fantasmi”, whose mission focuses on showing unknown vocal and instrumental gems found in libraries like Uppsala, Dresden, Brussels and Kromeríz. On this occasion, he will interpret works by Vivaldi, Schmeltzer, Ortiz, Biber, Merula and Fasch, among others. Free entry to both events.

The female philharmonic Quintet will present its first album in Bogotá

Colombian Andean music in version for string quintet, is what will be heard at the launch concert of "A sus horas", the first record work of the female philharmonic Quintet, a group created in 2020 with the mission of highlighting the role of women in the Colombian artistic and musical milieu, made up of Blanca Viviana Niño and Piedad Liliana Parra on violins; Andrea Carolina del Pilar Sánchez on the viola; Olga Lucía Ospina on cello and Mónica Suárez on double bass.

They are all members of the Bogota Philharmonic Orchestra and with this group in particular they seek to spread Colombian music through arrangements by renowned Colombian composers, such as Jaime Jaramillo, Fernando "el chino León", Oriol Caro and Germán Darío Pérez, among others .

Tribute to Guillermo Uribe Holguín in Bogotá with the Q-Arte Quartet

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the death of composer, violinist and conductor from Santa Fe, Guillermo Uribe Holguín, the Q-Arte Quartet will offer a concert at the Teatro Estudio Julio Mario Santo Domingo; the top of an artistic project around the legacy of this very important musician.

The quartet, which includes Santiago Medina and Liz Ángela García on violins; Sandra Liliana Arango on the viola and Diego García on the cello, the pianist Fabian Fernández joins for this concert as a guest, in charge of the following repertoire: Violin Sonata No.2, Op.16; Trio for violin, cello and piano, Op.74; Pieces for cello and piano and String Quartet No.4, Op. 86.
