The Labor portfolio explained that of the 44 firms, 13 have already brought their obligations up to date, after the mediations carried out by their officials, while 6 of them -whose representatives did not appear- will be audited and the other companies have hearings. scheduled for next week.

For the last 3 years, the Ministry of Labor has been promoting the preventive campaign that aims to comply with this labor right, through its massive dissemination and the services of salary calculations and guidance to workers.

Companies that do not comply with this obligation are subject to a fine of 10 minimum wages for each affected employee.

Complaints are received in person at the headquarters of the Ministry of Labor, located on Luis Alberto de Herrera street, corner of Paraguarí, Asunción, as well as at regional offices in the interior of the country. Workers who find any inconsistency in the liquidation of this benefit can also file a complaint with the Ministry of Labor, in addition to other situations that affect their rights.
