Franco Masini is Luka Colucci in Rebelde de Netflix: interview

Jordi Linares (JL): Cuéntame, ¿cómo fue el momento en el que te avisaron que ibas a ser parte del reboot de Rebelde?

Franco Masini (FM): It was a very crazy moment. JL: A ti como argentino te tocó vivir Rebelde Way. ¿Cuál es tu recuerdo?

JL: Una de las grandes sorpresas es que Luka es un Colucci, ¿cómo fue para ti enterarte que eras primo de Mia?

JL: Esta es la versión más diversa e incluyente que hemos visto de Rebelde. ¿Qué opinas tú sobre esta representación que hay en la serie?

JL: Hablando de tu personaje, al principio de Luka es un poquito insoportable, pero al final terminas queriéndolo. ¿Cómo fue para ti meterte en sus zapatos?

FM: I am very obsessive when I compose a character, I like to find things and I think Luka is a very nice character, because he has a shell that he puts himself at the beginning with all the rest because he is also involved in a country thatIt is not his, with people who do not know how they are, so he as a barrier is put on and as the chapters pass, you will see how that barrier is growing for good and one ends up empathizing for the character, and thatIt is the most beautiful thing you have. JL: ¿Qué es lo que sí tienen en común Luka y Franco?

JL: Creo que desde el desde el episodio uno, donde Luka defiende la decisión de llevar bolso a la escuela, se ve que es importante para él la moda. ¿Cómo fue la relación de tu personaje con todo este universo de la moda?

Creo que todos en la serie igual, cada uno tiene su impronta en cuanto a cómo están vestidos, pero el mío creo que tiene algo distinto que también hace que sea un Luka Colucci.

JL: Tú ya has hecho series adolescentes antes, pero para ti ¿cuáles son algunas que son referentes, que te gustan personalmente?

FM: I really liked Way at the time, I really liked the sung part of Glee, I liked a series called Normal People too, very deep.I liked those very much, and not just teenagers, really, I like all kinds of series.

JL: En esta serie la música tiene un peso muy grande, personalmente ¿cómo es tu relación con la música?

JL: ¿Qué sentiste al cantar las canciones de Rebelde y que te tocara ahora a ti hacerlas tuyas?

JL: ¿Cómo fue en general la experiencia de grabar con el resto del elenco?

F: Buenísima, la verdad que fue una experiencia muy linda, todos los chicos son súper buenas personas, súper amables, fuimos como una familia durante todo el rodaje.They received me very well being alone, being from Argentina, being far from my family, of all the people I want, and the truth that everything was enjoyed as if we were a family from the day one. Tenemos mucho cariño entre nosotros, nos admiramos, nos apoyamos, y me parece que eso es una cosa fundamental en un proyecto tan coral y tan grupal, donde es necesario esa sinergia entre los actores, y que eso se se vea también en la pantalla.
