The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested two people on November 19 for allegedly stealing and selling the jewelery of an elderly woman in Olot (Girona).

As explained by the Catalan police this Tuesday in a statement, the detainees are a 48-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man, residents of Sant Joan de les Fonts (Girona).

Mossos explained that at the beginning of November the Olot police station received a complaint from an elderly woman who explained "that numerous jewels had disappeared from her home".

The woman explained that these disappearances coincided with the fact that a neighbor from Sant Joan de les Fonts offered to "keep her company and do the domestic chores around the house", after the old woman had an accident and broke her heart. foot.

The stolen jewels are valued at 17,820 euros and had been subsequently sold in gold-dealing shops in Esplugues de Llobregat, L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Vic (Barcelona) and Olot by the two detainees.
