Three months after the start of the Carnival, Valeria Charris received her decree

“This Carnival 2022 is lived and enjoyed by two,” said Valeria Charris Salcedo in a night full of art, culture and tradition in which the young woman from Barranquilla received the decree that officially named her sovereign of the party.

Three months after the carnival begins, the Secretary of Culture and Heritage of the District, María Teresa Fernández Iglesias, delivered the official document. The event took place this Saturday in the Acoustic Shell of the Sagrado Corazón park, in the north of Barranquilla.

The delivery was scheduled for this Friday but was postponed due to the heavy rain that fell that day in the capital of the Atlantic.

Thus, the show was held yesterday in the acoustic shell of the Sacred Heart, where some 600 people, who respected the biosafety and distancing protocols, happily accompanied the Queen of Carnival.
