that, that jewelry accessories are a more accessible option for our look.

Jewelry can be worn in any situation, the most important being formal and gala events. And the jewelry? Next, we answer this and more questions that you surely have about this type of accessory. We are sure that your perspective on jewelry will change by the time you finish reading this note.

What is jewelry?

For too long, jewelry accessories have been misunderstood. It is believed that they are copies of the original pieces of jewelry, which is not entirely true (more on this later). In itself, jewelry are accessories, which, unlike jewelry accessories, are not made with metals or precious stones such as gold, diamonds, platinum, among others.

In simple words, jewelery is not created with exclusive materials, but with more accessible versions such as stainless steel, zinc, semi-precious stones or even adding other materials such as fabrics, wood, plastic and wires.

Jewelry Accessories: When and How to Wear Them

The principles and designs remain the same (bracelets, chains, rings, earrings, charms, etc.), the main difference between jewelry and costume jewelery is found in the manufacturing material.

When to wear jewelry?

The answer can be very generic; almost any time. We know, the classic pieces of jewelry sometimes tend to reach very high prices, which is why jewelry accessories are an option that we all like. Not only does it benefit our pocket, but also -the vast majority- are quality pieces that we assure you will not break on the first use.

Here we tell you the two indicated moments:

The first is in your day to day (work or student). They are battle pieces, as they say colloquially, you should not be very careful when carrying them and nothing will happen if they get damaged or scratched (due to their reasonable cost). Best of all, after a couple of years of wear and tear you can trade them in for another model.

The second moment is when going out to a party (bar, clubs, discos, concerts, etc.). The reason? If that piece of jewelry gets lost during the hustle and bustle of the night, we assure you that it will not be a great loss, unlike what happens with a jewelry accessory.

What not to do when wearing costume jewellery?

Jewelry should never be a copy of some emblematic piece from classic jewelers, for example, the Love de Cartier bracelet, the Serpenti rings from Bvlgari or the Tiffany's T bracelet. Our point is to make it clear that costume jewelery is not -and should not be- synonymous with buying copies of high-end brands. Remember jewelry accessories are a more accessible option, but that does not mean that we seek to buy imitations.

It's important to find out when the right time to wear jewelry is. It is possible to use this type of accessory at all times, perhaps the only situation in which it is not applicable to wear costume jewelery is in a very special or significant event. It can be at graduations, weddings or anniversaries, where the piece of jewelry is not only an accessory, but a symbol that has a meaning beyond the mere object, which will help you elevate your look.
