The collection of jewels, dresses and other personal objects of Elizabeth Taylor has been sold for a total of $ 156.7 million (120.7 million euros) after several days of auctions in New York.

"My mother always acknowledged that she was just a temporary guardian of the incredible objects she possessed in life and today I think she would be very happy to know that they will continue to enrich other people's life," Chris Wilding said in a statement, one of the childrenof the late actress.
