At the age of 6 he grabbed his first racket and from that moment he knew that this was serious "I started playing tennis because my brothers did and my grandfather Carmelo Álvarez was a tennis teacher." His grandfather passed away in 2004, the same year that Dani was born. His brothers Joaquín and Juan Pablo have received scholarships from universities in the United States. “I always wanted to be a professional and that was reinforced when I started traveling to play abroad. I started traveling when I was 11 or 12 years old and from then on I didn't stop”, said the young Vallejo.
