The manicure that will be a trend in the summer of 2021

We continue with the doubt of how the 'beauty' trends will evolve in the final part of this pandemic, if we are going to go with everything (as La Vecina Rubia would say) or are we going to go and bet on natural skin, 'nude skin' and that good face effect with the three essentials but without going too far in terms of facial cosmetics.

That referred to the makeup, but with the nails something sure is going to happen, and that is that we want to return to the color. In 2020 we learned how a confinement made us not know when we could return to the beauty salon and, therefore, what was most popular was the transparent or 'nude' manicure. In summer we went back to white enamels that became translucent giving rise to the famous 'milky nails', then we took the famous 'lava nails'. And, after this we have observed that we have given a twist to the French manicure, which is now colored and the white line only remains in the life of the most classic, that short nails return to the fray while preserving the spirit of total comfort, and that pastel gradients rule the roost.

We have also experienced a winter with nails of the same color in different shades, especially brown, beige and blue. But then, where are we? Well, on the verge of a summer that makes us tremendously excited to live it, whatever it may be. And yes, short nails are more popular than long ones, although you have the last word, of course.

Perhaps it is not the most special due to distant trips or the amount of budget we have to go to wonderful paradises, but it will be the summer of being able to move, see our friends and enjoy a lot of things and experiences that we have been deprived for a long time. And this illusion is reflected in full color nails. What we will see the most are the famous pastel geometics (abstract shapes with a kind of drops and degraded shapes in soft colors that form drawings on the surface of the nail), we will also return to neon (yellows, pinks) and, of course, white pristine will make its appearance in the months of July and August.

What we do see is that the manicures that have different colors will be based on nude or transparent bases, French with colored tips, designs at the root of the nail, minimalist drawings such as smiles, stars, dots... On a completely bare nail. and even tattoos on the nails (a trend started in Spain by the tattoo artist Nacho Caja). So take note of everything and enjoy this summer as if it were the last, to the last drop.
