"I also want to influence": Mariana Rodríguez confirms that she will be in charge of the DIF in NL
The influencer Mariana Rodríguez, wife of the governor-elect in Nuevo León, Samuel García, confirmed that she will be in charge of the System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF) in the state.
The announcement comes days after Samuel García announced that Rodríguez will form part of the DIF through an "honorary" position because the actual presidency of the organization will fall to an "expert on the subject of the family."
In her social networks, the influencer assured that she still does not have specific objectives to develop in the DIF because she first has to "soak up" what the organization means. "I have to soak up a lot of the DIF, what is done in truth, of what you have to improve to have an established goal”.
She added that she wants to contribute to the decisions that her husband makes at the head of Nuevo León, since his work during the campaign helped him see "the reality" of what the residents of the state experience. Among her lines of action, she announced that she intends to intervene in mobility policies, animal protection and the environment.
Mariana Rodríguez spoke that, some time ago, she warned her husband that she would only work with him during the campaign; However, she was later convinced to take the reins of the organization that is conferred on her as the entity's first lady.
“Before starting the campaign I had told Samuel that I was going to accompany him on the campaign, but after that I wouldn't, that I had nothing to do with it. The truth is that seeing the reality of Nuevo León opened my eyes a lot, ”he said.
He added that working in the public service “is going to be a great responsibility, but I feel that it will be more positive than negative, in a matter of sharing with you day by day what the job I am going to do is” .
Although she made it clear that she will not abandon her makeup company, Mar Cosmetics, she will reduce her collaborations as an influencer due to what her work as a public official will entail.
“My makeup is something every day, I love, I love showing them to you, I love Mar Cosmetics... the topic of collaborations is going to go down, we are going to jump to another stage in the life of Mariana Rodríguez, which I am very excited about... when I started with my social networks I was still a student… at all stages, my content has been changing”.
She assured that her husband will fulfill his campaign promises; However, "changes are not overnight, she has six years to complete them, some are short term, others are medium term, others are long term."
