I like to contrast these trends with the experts. On this occasion I have spoken with two dermatologists. Paloma Cornejo advises me against this ritual for having rosacea skin. And he warns me "that this gesture is especially dangerous in the area of the nose, which is more sensitive, and that we risk having chilblains, which are painful inflammations of small blood vessels in the skin."
Paloma Borregón, dermatologist at the Ivan Malagón Clinic in Madrid, confirms that "the risk of applying ice directly to the skin is that it causes a burn. The cold decongests, but we recommend more the mask that you put in the fridge, but not freezer. What you should not do is apply the ice directly without covering with a rag or cloth."
I will continue with my lifelong tricks: put the jade roller, the gel mask and even the eye contour in the fridge to get a subtle (but subtle) cold effect that favors the reduction of any type of inflammation in bags and dark circles.
