The confinement has brought with it a change of mentality. Closing at home has produced, in most, a kind of introspection, starting in Spain a movement that was already triumphing in other countries such as the United States. It is the so-called selfcare movement (basically taking care of oneself), a philosophy that is based on "listening" to the body, taking care of it and giving it what it needs. Beyond creating healthy routines, with daily sports and exploring a way to eat better in cookbooks, many have investigated, above all, skin and hair care.
The frequent use of face masks has been introduced into basic beauty routines, also to nourish the hair. Tonics to cleanse the skin before bed or anti-aging creams to repair the skin. They are some of the most demanded products -in addition to flour- on the shelves of Mercadona, a supermarket that has surprisingly managed to become a firm in the competitive world of beauty and cosmetics.
It is the democratization of the cosmetic industry, previously a privilege for a few due to its high prices. The collaboration between Beauté Mediterránea and Mercadona was born for the same purpose. Some of the best products of this brand are sold on supermarket shelves well below the price offered by other firms on the market, with the aim of giving everyone the opportunity to join the self-care revolution. His latest great success costs 5 euros and has managed to unseat the luxurious flash effect bottles for the eye contour.
It does not have a commercial name. It is called as it promises, instant puffiness and dark circles reducer, and it really works. It contains five bottles at one euro each that give a "shot" of vitamins to this difficult area of the face, to achieve the good face effect in two minutes.
There are many brands that bet on flash effect bottles for the eye contour, in fact it is one of the most demanded products on the market as well as dark circles. The reason is simple, the eye contour is where fatigue is most marked and where more wrinkles appear, so finding a good product to treat the area is vital, both for men and women of any age.
However, the key to Mercadona's bag reducer, the reason why we can call it a low cost treasure - there are very few of them - is its composition. Each bottle of this product contains a component called argireline peptide, a molecular hexapeptide that tightens the area where it has been applied while relaxing the muscles responsible for the formation of expression lines and wrinkles.
The collaboration between Mercadona and Beauté Mediterranea has given rise to other successes in the past. One of its first top sellers was the five-euro Dragon's Blood anti-aging cream, launched on the market a year ago. Today is a revolution in low cost cosmetics.
Part of the beauty routine of influencers such as Aretha la Galleta or Gigi Vives, this cream has a quality formula, comparable to other creams on the market that cost ten times its price. The marketing director of Beauté Mediterranea, Alba Usort, explained to La Vanguardia that the product "has a base of organic aloe vera, vitamin E and allantonin, which helps improve the skin surface."
