Hints of urban life
The CCK presents Indications of Urban Life, a monographic exhibition by the Argentine photographer Facundo de Zuviría (Buenos Aires, 1954). The exhibition brings together almost 200 photographs that the prominent photographer has taken since the 1980s: photographs of Buenos Aires neighborhoods, streets, shop windows and architecture that respond to an effort to set up a sort of photographic archive of the city.
Under the care of Alexis Fabry, a French curator specialized in Latin American photography, the series Frontales, Enrejados, Ochavas, Siesta argentina and a set of photographs that, gathered under the title Estampas porteñas, capture the identity essence of the city are presented porteña Zuviría's images range from an arbitrary record of representative urban typologies of Argentina to a search to portray social events embodied in the very life of urban architecture -as in the case of the fronts of shops closed due to the economic crisis of 2001.

Horacio Zabala: Starting from monochrome
Herlitzka + Faria presents the exhibition Starting from Monochrome, a set of more than twenty works in which Horacio Zabala explores new possibilities for monochrome, an obsession of modern and contemporary art. These are pieces that the artist executed in the span of the last ten years and that establish a dialogue with other monochrome works that he had already produced in the 1970s.
From Monochrome is the first solo show of magnitude that Zabala has held in Buenos Aires since his retrospective at the Amalia Lacroze de Fortabat Art Collection (Purity is in the mix, 2016) and it comes at a very special moment for the artist. The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York has just added two of his works to its rich collection that covers more than 5,000 years of artistic production. They are two of his preliminary projects for prisons, executed between 1974 and 1975. The presence of these pieces by Zabala at the MET contributes to the visibility of cutting-edge Latin American art on the international scene and they came to the museum managed by Henrique Faria New York.

Sívori annual auction
The Museum and the Friends of the Sívori Association present the exhibition of works that will lead to the auction consisting of approximately 100 pieces. It will be open to the public on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 12 to 20 hours and from 10 to 20 hours on weekends. The auction will be on May 9 at 7:00 p.m., under the leadership of auctioneer Tomás Ortíz de Rozas.
The objective of the annual auction is to promote the best Argentine art: our great masters, historical vanguards, valued contemporary artists and representatives of emerging languages, while raising funds to support the work of the museum. Disseminate our art reaching new audiences and encouraging new collectors.

BRECCIA 100. The mutant drawing
The National House of the Bicentennial inaugurates, on Thursday, May 2 at 6:00 p.m., BRECCIA 100. The mutant drawing, an exhibition that covers the life and work of the brilliant cartoonist, one hundred years after his birth. Curated by Laura Caraballo and Thomas Dassance, the exhibition, which is exhibited for the first time in Argentina, includes original plates and editions, magazines, books, photographs, videos, projections, and filmed interviews. It can be visited until June 23 on the third floor of the House (Riobamba 985), from Tuesday to Sunday and holidays from 12 to 20 hours.
Alberto Breccia was a key and undisputed author of world comics, inventor of forms and precursor of the most radical practices. This unprecedented exhibition will allow the public to see in Buenos Aires more than seventy originals of his authorship, along with dozens of documents and publications. This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the universe of this liberated, committed, rebellious, generous, influential artist, who is at the same time a draftsman, painter, teacher, experimenter.

Hamlet on display
The San Martín Theater inaugurated the exhibition Hamlet exhibited, which, through photographs, videos, material and authorial and archival texts, offers an itinerary through the different performances that this emblematic piece had in the theaters of the Complejo Teatral de Buenos Aires .
The exhibition, conceived from materials from the Ana Itelman Theater and Dance Documentation Center (CEDOC) and from the personal archive of the director Rubén Szuchmacher, also reviews the place and importance of Hamlet in our culture and offers a simple tribute Alfredo Alcón, the leading actor in the first production of Hamlet presented by the Teatro San Martín in 1980.
In addition, materials and work notes by Rubén Szuchmacher are exhibited, as well as a tour of the workshops and areas of the Theater that carried out the set design, costumes and other works for the staging of the show, in an that the visitor will be able to access the privacy of the tasks of professionals and artisans of the CTBA.
The exhibition takes place simultaneously in several spaces of the San Martín Theater. The exhibition can be visited until Sunday June 2, from Tuesday to Sunday from 12 to 9 p.m. Free entrance.

Abdulio Giudici: Balance and purity
Herlitzka + Faria presents, in room E, a set of works spanning fifty years in the production of Abdulio Giudici, a benchmark of Argentine concrete art who expanded his work in the field of geometric, optical and kinetic art between 1948 , when he joined the Concrete Art-Invention group gathered around Tomás Maldonado, and 2008, the year of his death.
Giudici was born in 1914 and his connection to the history of Argentine art is very close since he was the great-nephew of Reinaldo Giudici, one of the pioneers of the Argentine school, author of the seminal oil painting La sopa de los pobres. In this exhibition, works will be seen ranging from a still life with future-cubist reminiscences painted in 1949 to Floating, a specific work from 1998.

Tandil, stone that beats… in San Isidro
Until May 22, Tandil, a stone that beats... is presented in San Isidro, at the Lucy Mattos Museum, Av del Libertador 17.426, Beccar (San Isidro), an exhibition that celebrates the 80th anniversary of the Tandil Municipal Museum of Fine Arts ( MUMBAT), under the curatorship of its director, Indiana Gnocchini.
This inaugural exhibition of the 2019 cycle brings together a selection of works by Great Masters and Contemporary Art, treasured by this renowned Buenos Aires museum, including pieces by Antonio Berni, Emilio Pettoruti, Ricardo Carpani, Julio Suárez Marzal, Alberto María Rossi, Martín Malharro, Gabriel Sainz, Enio Iommi, Aurelio Macchi, Carlos Gorriarena, Ernesto Scotti, Miguel Ángel Bengoechea and Remo Bianchedi.

The original brand: Argentine art
It is a large collective and multidisciplinary exhibition that presents artists from all regions of Argentina with recent productions. After the success of the homonymous television series produced by the CCK and Televisión Pública Argentina, the show recovers the spirit of presenting current art produced in the extensive territory of our country.
The selection of works by more than fifty artists highlights the diverse nature of our contemporary art and reflects on the effervescence and vitality typical of recent times in many corners of the country. The exhibition addresses issues related to artistic practice and work, such as production from recovered labors and trades; technological uses and processes and their link with poetics; reflection on natural and cultural heritage; collective work and the most intimate productions.
The program is complemented by guided tours and a cycle of talks, workshops with invited artists, curators and intellectuals; meetings with the creators of works of art; multimedia productions and participatory proposals. The program is completed with multidisciplinary workshops for the whole family and guided tours for schools and the general public.

Street fight
Fifty years after one of the most claimed popular revolts in our history, this exhibition questions this historical fact through the semantic potential offered by archival materials and the poetic possibilities enabled by contemporary art.
What remains today of the insurgent power of that revolt that brought together workers, students and neighbors in the same claim? What gestures and what forms shaped the rebellion in the face of the oppressive weight of repression and the encroachment of rights? How to narrate this framework without losing sight of the meaning added by the passage of time?
Thus, we revisit a milestone in recent Argentine history through the dialogue of various documentary materials with works by Fernando Allievi, Hugo Aveta, Marcelo Brodsky, Lucas Di Pascuale, Tomás Espina, Enrique Jezik, Julia Mensch and RES .

31 colors in the 31st neighborhood
Combining elements of the textile world with sound, electronics, photography, visual arts and digital technology, six artisans, including women and one man belonging to the Barrio 31 community who weave and embroider and four artists and students from the Master's Degree in Technology and Aesthetics of Electronic Arts (UNTREF) came together in a project that named 31 colors whose results will be exhibited starting April 13 at the MUNTREF Center for Contemporary Art, located at the Hotel de Inmigrante.
The authors of the collective works are María Pérez Santos, Sofía Vidal Quinteros, Lucía Sivila Vargas, Irma Juana Herrero, Silvina González and Lucas Dedyn from Barrio 31 and Guadalupe Chávez, Mariana Lombard, Marlin Velasco and Sebastián Pasquel from UNTREF.

Invasion, the infinite battle
The Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires presents Invasion, the infinite battle, an exhibition that honors the film Invasion, by Hugo Santiago at the "Pablo C. Ducrós Hicken" Film Museum.
The film was made based on a script written by Jorge Luis Borges and Adolfo Bioy Casares and it is the fiftieth anniversary of its premiere.
The exhibition can be visited from Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (closed Tuesday) and Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Museo del Cine (Caffarena 51, La Boca). The entry value is 50 pesos. Retirees and university students with accreditation and children under 12 years of age free admission. Wednesday free.

Carlos Alonso. painting and memory
The exhibition tribute to Carlos Alonso will bring together more than fifty works by the Argentine artist in the Temporary Exhibition Pavilion, curated by María Florencia Galesio and Pablo De Monte, Fine Arts researchers. Paintings and collages created between 1963 and 1989 will be exhibited.
"The history of the last half century in Argentina cannot be thought of without the work of Carlos Alonso –assures Duprat–. It is a thread that tenses it, denounces it, challenges it and amends it, at the same time that it knows it is irreparable Between allegory and crude realism, devastated by the usual violence, the artist's production runs through themes, forms and questions, with the suspicion that the answer will never change. And that there is horror in it".
As part of this exhibition, which can be visited until July 14, the reconstruction of the installation "Anonymous Hands" will be exhibited, originally created in 1976 for an exhibition at the Bellas Artes that could never be exhibited due to the coup de State. This installation will occupy a central place in the tour.

Friends, the future is ours
The PintorAs collective is made up of a group of 16 female artists. This year marks the 10th anniversary of its creation and they celebrate it at Usina del Arte conAmigxs, the future is ours, an exhibition in which the works of the artists coexist and the process of permanent change that painting goes through as a language becomes visible. .
"The foundation of pintorAs coincided with a time in which the exhibitions had men as main protagonists, the debate on the participation of women in the world of art was timid (I would dare to say that it was almost non-existent) and painting was resistant to being understood as a contemporary practice. With this panorama, the objectives of the group acquired almost epic proportions", says the curator, Lara Marmor.
The exhibition unfolds in a collaborative scenario that inquires about the possibilities of being a painter, doing painting and understanding the pictorial. The proposal will be accompanied by various free activities by the artists, which include visual and theoretical tours from the avant-garde of the early 20th century to contemporary times, conferences that explore the importance of visual arts in teaching practice and activities that allow you to enter in the universe of the artists to learn more about their works.

Kingdoms
The infinite love for the forms and processes of nature has united Celina Saubidet and Marina Molinelli Wells in a third entity that transcends them and that is much more than the sum of its parts: Bone Cabinet. Both daughters of doctors, one an artist and sculptor, the other an industrial designer, they strengthen their vision and develop from small objects and jewelry to large-scale sculptures and installations.
Reinos is a sample of his latest research displayed in four spaces of the National Museum of Decorative Art. Spun by that look that abstracts, poetizes and transfigures forms like someone trying to decipher a language that speaks to us in common and reconnects us with a whole.

Essentialism: Configuration in the 21st century

A possible zodiac (construction work)
Catalina León invites the public to participate in the construction of her work, a pictorial journey through astrology that invites them to investigate the potential of signs. The artist presents a large installation made up of 12 spaces that evoke the climate of each one of the signs of the Zodiac, spaces that over time and with the participation of those who visit it, will be covered with allusive paintings and embroideries.
This is an activity framed in "Rain, impredictive astrology", a project directed by León that seeks to rethink through art the traditional imaginaries of astrology and its practical use in everyday life.
In addition, there will be introductory workshops on astrology and on Saturdays there will be embroidery rounds in which participants will be able to participate in the embroidery of a central piece of the installation.

The stars and a ship

The bread of the day
The presentation of the exhibition that develops, with objects and period recreations, the different aspects in the preparation of baked goods, will be in charge of Ricardo Pinal Villanueva, director of the City Museum, continuing with the investigation and revaluation of the gastronomic heritage citizen. This time, highlighting the world of work of the baker in the City.
The exhibition takes a journey from the arrival of the Spanish to the bakeries of the 20th century and industrial bakeries. It gives an account of the first Creole bakers and bakers, the steam mill meters from the current Casa Rosada announcing the subsequent industry with La Panificación Argentina in Caballito and Canale in Barracas. Vertigo. Geometry and Instability
Until March 8, 2020, Vertigo. Geometry and Instability. proposes a new presentation of MACBA's permanent collection, through a set of works that, based on resources and visual games characteristic of "optical art", generate effects of movement and instability.
Works that explore optical effects or that thematize issues related to perception develop their effects over time, it could even be said that they fully exist, only and as soon as they are looked at. Can these works function as an invitation to stop? To inhabit the delay before what is exposed in front of our eyes?
The meanings that unfold throughout the exhibition propose a possible line of reading based on the question of our relationship with time, duration, speed and the restlessness of the rhythm of contemporary life. Instability, thematized in relation to the quality of "open works" or transformable in the very act of perception, becomes a concept that triggers a question about the vertiginous rhythm of current life traced by the attention demands of algorithms, the networks and the experience of the circulation of images at the time of their digital reproduction.

Under construction
More than forty works, focused on modern and contemporary art, by 21 artists of recognized national and international prestige, are part of Under Construction, the exhibition that exhibits part of the MUNTREF collection, at the Museum of Visual Arts of the National University of Tres de Febrero at its Caseros headquarters, province of Buenos Aires.
The exhibition includes works considered iconic in Argentina, France, Brazil, Chile, among other countries, by creators such as Clorido Testa, Adriana Lestido, Annemarie Heinrich, Patricia Hakim, Iván Grillo, Patricia Araujo; Leo Nunez; Javier Plano; Carolina Magnin, Renata Espinoza Roa, Cristina Piffer; Andrés Waissman, Carlos Sessano, Hugo Aveta; Voluspa Jarpa; Paul Rosero Contreras, Victor Rebuffo; Mariano Sardón, Leila Alaoui, Steve Roden and Christian Boltanski.
Composed of acquisitions, donations, temporary exhibitions, the Braque Prize and the UNTREF Prize for Electronic Arts as well as the International Biennial of Contemporary Art of South America (BIENALSUR), the exhibition is presented for the first time following a curatorial account by Hersilia Álvarez, Camila Feal, Amanda Nascimento, Cecilia Rabossi and Juliana Robles de la Pava that reveals, on the one hand, the general dynamics of the processes that make up a collection and, on the other, appeals to dialogue between the poetic, political, social and historical imaginaries that emerge from each of the works.

A world of one's own. Argentine modern photography 1927-1962
Malba opens the 2019 exhibition calendar with Mundo propio. Modern Argentine Photography 1927-1962, a broad overview of the avant-garde in Argentine photography over three decades. Curated by Facundo de Zuviría, the exhibition brings together a selection of 250 works —mostly period copies— by Horacio Coppola, Grete Stern, Annemarie Heinrich, Anatole Saderman, Sameer Makarius, Juan DiSandro, Pedro Otero, Hans Mann, George Friedman and Alicia D'Amico, among other renowned photographers who opened new paths in the field of national photography, as well as other lesser-known references with highly original works. CycleTo tear down walls
On Tuesday, March 19, he inaugurated the first artistic intervention of the cycle To demolish walls, dedicated to the realization of site-specific works in unconventional spaces of the Buenos Aires Theater Complex.
The first play in this cycle belongs to Valeria Traversa and is presented in the Alfredo Alcón Central Hall of the San Martín Theater. Traversa's mural, through its multiple folds and the warmth of the chosen materials, stresses the functionalist rigor and visual impact that characterize the theater's architectural style. Each fold -or the sum of all of them- is an invitation to suspend chronological time, delve into the thickness of the gaze and give way to the time of experience.
The work can be visited until Sunday, June 2, from 10 a.m. until the end of the shows, with free admission.

From March 23 to June 9, 2019, Iterations on the Non-Same consists of an investigation into movement and interpretation presented in two instances: a selection of works from the MACBA collection turned into a score/ notation of twelve mobile elements to be interpreted by dancers and performers; and a second instance made up of a selection of works by invited contemporary artists, to deepen the concepts of movement and interpretation, in the manner of a set of footnotes.
From a notation of 12 mobile instances, the proposal seeks to think and carry out a series of transpositions between visual arts and movement arts, with the aim of being "bodily read" by invited performers. The sample is the result of the work of a group of choreographers, dancers and researchers in music, dance and visual arts. All of them, in direct contact with the works and through intuitions and analysis around the movement that inhabited the composition of each of the selected paintings and sculptures, in front of each work, drew and traced possible writings of a paradoxical experience.

Tomorrow was going to be yesterday
This project has been carried out specifically for the rooms of the old Immigrants Hotel by the Argentine-Brazilian artist living in Sweden Carla Zaccagnini (Buenos Aires, 1973). Under the title Tomorrow was going to be yesterday, she reviews her family history through five new pieces, result of research carried out in recent years. The exhibition portrays the migratory and integration processes that the artist's grandfather went through throughout the 20th century, exploring the complex intersection between subjective history and social history and explores the ways in which heredity is manifested and elaborated.

Braque Award
The works of the artists selected to participate in the 2019 Braque Prize can be seen starting next March 9, at the MUNTREF Center for Contemporary Art, Sede Hotel de Inmigrantes, with the purpose of stimulating the production and positioning of Argentine artists and their insertion into the international map of contemporary art.
Organized by the French Embassy in Argentina and the National University of Tres de Febrero, the 2019 edition has the particularity of highlighting two sections of its dynamics: from March to May, the exhibition with the works of all selected, the result of the work of the artists in dialogue with the curatorial team that this year collaborated with the Braque prize and the awarding of the winner in April, during Art Week, by a jury made up of members of UNTREF , the French Embassy in Argentina and the French Frac.

Woodcuts by Albino Fernández, José Manuel Moraña, Víctor Rebuffo and Luis Seoane
The National Museum of Engraving inaugurated, on March 14, 6:30 p.m., Breasts, an exhibition that brings together forty woodcuts by four notable Argentine engravers: Albino Fernández, José Manuel Moraña, Víctor Rebuffo and Luis Seoane, curated by the art historian Marie-Jo Cardinal art.
The artists produced these woodcuts especially to integrate the literary work Senos by Ramón Gómez de la Serna, written in 1917 and republished in 1979 by the Albino Fernández y Asociados label.
The exhibition can be visited at the National Museum of Engraving (Riobamba 985, 4th floor) until May 12, from Tuesday to Sunday and holidays from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with free admission.

Intertwined languages
Lenguajes entrelazados presents a selection of works from each decade of the last 50 years, starting in the 1960s until his last pictorial work from January 2019. Works woven on a high warp loom from the period 1969-1994 are displayed alongside pieces of mixed technique where the textile is inserted as a metaphor.
Paintings intertwined with texts, others that merge with the image, allude to the memory inscribed in the woven signs that for centuries were guardians of American cultural belonging; some paragraphs—ceremonial, ethnographic, historical, or poetic—are read in the original languages.
The textile as a language, as a system of signs, can be seen in the work of Gracia Cutuli in her interest in linking cultural traditions and expressing with different means the turning points of history, ties to the complex fabric of the past, of the present and future.

35×35. A democratic facility
The work, with an idea and general conception of the critic, essayist, editor and translator Alejandro Katz, is a video installation on 35 40-inch monitors that follows important moments of each of the chosen ones, including a priest, a woman from field and a transsexual.
The installation was conceived as a project a year ago and during this time Katz worked together with the filmmaker Alejo Moguillansky, in the film direction and editing, and the musician Martín Bauer, in the sound design together with a team of collaborators who toured the country.

Traffic

VI Festival Encuentro MagdalenaMujer, Theater and Banquet
It will take place from May 1 to 5 in the city of Santa Fe, and from May 6 to 12 in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, where there will be shows, seminars, presentations, round tables, performances, street parade and demonstrations of works with artists from different countries.
Open to all public who want to get closer to a space of art and creation where women are the makers. Directors, actresses, painters, performers, singers, composers, human rights activists, workers in the art and community area, producers, and more.
The Banquet will last 12 days, there will be more than 20 theater and music performances, it will have a creative-pedagogical meeting with multiple seminars, conferences, round tables, performances, a street stall and demonstrations of works with artists from different countries: Denmark, Taiwan, France, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Brazil, and also with artists and references from Argentina.
All the invited artists are directly related to gender, community and social work, as well as many of the historical theater groups to which some of them belong, for example Julia Varley from Odin Teatret, Denmark, or Ana Correa from Yuyachkani, Peru.
The programming will be accessible to the entire community, with most activities with free admission or voluntary contribution. Likewise, activities will be scheduled in public schools and popular neighborhoods.

AboutArt Autumn
The most important free cultural program in the province of Buenos Aires once again tours several locations to bring culture to the people as a tool for inclusion. Since its inception, in May 2016, AcercArte has already toured 128 municipalities (out of a total of 135 that make up the Province), with more than 900 artists and 5,100,000 people who enjoyed all its activities, divided into 13 disciplines: music, mobile cinema, 360° cinema, library, children's shows, stand up, theatre, urban dance, street art, circus, virtual reality, creative reuse workshops and plastic arts.
After the resounding success in the province during the summer of 2019, AcercArte returns to start its autumn tour with the best proposals. The cultural program will begin on April 27 and 28 in Tandil (in Diagonal Illia, access to Parque Independencia) and will continue through Olavarría (May 4 and 5 in Plaza Coronel Olavarría, in San Martín and Vicente López), Campana (11 and May 12 at Parque Urbano Ing. Roberto Rocca) and San Nicolás (May 18 and 19 at Costanera Alta, Av. Díaz Bancalari and Luis Viale). During his time in Campana, the three years of the birth of this initiative will also be celebrated, since that was where it was carried out for the first time.

Permanent exhibitions and guided tours in the Jesuit Ranch of Alta Gracia
The National Museum of the Estancia Jesuitica de Alta Gracia and Casa del Virrey Liniers has 17 permanent exhibition rooms, decorated according to the ways of life of the people of Cordoba and especially of the mountain people during the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.
It is based in the former Jesuit residence from the 17th century, which was part of the center of the Estancia de Alta Gracia. In 1810 it was owned by Don Santiago de Liniers, hero of the Reconquest and viceroy of the Río de la Plata. On December 2, 2000, the museum was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco, along with the Jesuit Block and other Jesuit ranches in the province of Córdoba. The importance lies fundamentally in its architectural value, which is preserved faithful to the original structure.

Classic Nova Concert by Morelembaum&Supervielle

17th edition of Tango Buenos Aires, City Dance Championship
From May 8 to 19 comes the 17th edition of Tango Buenos Aires, which will take place in milongas, cultural spaces and at Usina del Arte. Alexander Klüge
The Complejo Teatral de Buenos Aires, the Goethe-Institut and the Fundación Cinemateca Argentina have organized a cycle called Alexander Kluge: a retrospective, which takes place from Friday, May 3 to Wednesday, May 29, in the Leopoldo Lugones Hall of the San Martín Theater (Avda.Corrientes 1530). The cycle is made up for the most part of material compiled by Edition Filmmuseum, an exhaustive review of the work of the great filmmaker and thinker, "a giant figure of German culture", in the words of Susan Sontag. The exhibition includes unpublished films in Argentina and the revival of his monumental Noticias de la antiquity ideológica, inspired by Capital, by Karl Marx.
This second part includes -in addition to several of his classics, such as The Patriot- materials as valuable as little known about Kluge's work, among them those produced by the prestigious Serpentine Gallery in London and the programs that the German filmmaker made for television in his country, containing a surprising interview with Jean-Luc Godard and a story about a certain biological experiment carried out by the Nazis.

Lyrical version of A Streetcar Named Desire arrives at the Teatro Colón

Music at the station
The presentation of both musical groups is part of a free cycle that includes different artistic shows on the last Saturday of each month in the amphitheater located in front of the old Monte Chingolo train station where the Library is located.

Starting on Tuesday, April 30 at 8:00 p.m., the Teatro Colón Experimentation Center will present Residencias, an annual cycle in which contemporary music performance groups will perform during a week of intensive work in the CETC room with concert programmes, educational and outreach activities and experimentation laboratories in various formations together with young composers, conductors and students.
For this first installment, entitled Residencias 1, the valensamble under the musical direction of Valentín Garvie, will offer four performances that will take place on Tuesday, April 30 at 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 5 at 5:00 p.m.
The first presentation, on Tuesday, April 30 at 8:00 p.m., will be given by the duo made up of Valentín Garvie (Trumpet) and Juan Filipelli (Guitar), who will address material by Garvie himself and some reworkings of already existing material. In this program, improvisation and the influence of contemporary Jazz will be in the foreground.
The second program, on Friday, May 3 at 8:00 p.m., is a collective creation using Alvin Curran's Fake Book, a compendium of musical materials to be used freely and flexibly, taking advantage of the spatial possibilities of the CETC. The public will be able to locate or move freely in the place and meet the various situations that occur.
The third and last program that will take place on Saturday, May 3 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 5 at 5:00 p.m. will be a free reworking of "Nobody knows de trouble I see", the concert for Trumpet by Bernd Alois Zimmermann written in 1954. The compositional work is distributed among the members of the ensemble Damián Bolotin, Julia Sanjurjo, Marcos Franciosi and Valentín Garvie, using a flexible writing that will be developed, modified, expanded and distorted during rehearsals.

Silvia Iriondo presents her album Tierra sin mal
The renowned singer Silvia Iriondo once again presents Tierra sin mal, a new solo album released in September 2018 and presented with sold-out tickets at the CCK Symphony Hall. After several years of collective stage work and joint creations, the Toto Castiñeiras company premiered its new work, Orillera, on April 26 at the 25 de Mayo Cultural Center, dependent on the Ministry of Culture of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires Aires.
Orillera is a work fragmented into paintings, which reveals links between the inhabitants of a coastal city. Living on the edges, at the extremes, seems to translate into their relationships.
When the storm breaks, violence will reach their homes, piling up situations in a chaotic way. Mountains of algae accumulate on the shore. Plunged into the high seas, a Creole mermaid will question the limits of what is known. A character will go down to the beach to plunge into the abyss of a new identity. Like unicorns
The work dives into the masculine universe to reflect on the sensitivity of men. "Love has been the opium of women, while we loved, men ruled," says feminist Kate Millet. This is why we try to invert this statement by putting masculinized bodies in their complex amatory dimension. Literature, theater, cinema and painting abound in works of art that are inspired by female sensibility…however, not so much in that of men. The hegemonic culture tends to lock man in a prison of prejudice and brutal mandates. Thus, the work will have chapters or "numbers" that will not generate a classic plot but will present a patchwork of situations, songs, dances and other eccentricities that will revolve around a central motto: come and see how men feel.
The first act or painting is inspired by sports/glam. The four characters clad in shiny gymnastics equipment, intervened by the fashion designer Jorge Sandoval. It is not a realistic representation but a stylization and cross between both universes: gymnastics and fashion. The second painting will take place in a sort of artificial meadow where four dandies reflect on art, love and life. The last act is a reality show built from in-depth interviews with the actors in the play. The biodrama genre constitutes the scene. Procedurally, the work takes from the visual arts the technique of pastiche and the montage of situations, visual and sound proposals belonging to diverse universes. The performative imprint will be present.
It will not be a show, but an experience.

The work is made up of texts written by the actresses and the director inspired by what motherhood aroused in a very personal sense.
Written with the absolute freedom to be brutal, with uncomfortable but frank sincerity. They manifest moments where nature wins, where civilization falls short, where language passes to the body due to an overflow of meaning.
Although the work is approached from the experience that motherhood has in the members, it manages to transcend the subject by installing human conflicts in which anyone could identify, rejection, guilt, the feeling of loneliness. These conflicts manifest themselves in almost wordless bodily communication. Or rather, the word comes to complete and, sometimes, unsay what those bodies express. A total confusion trying to find the point between what they were and what they are.

This new variety of music, theater and dance is an evocation of Spanish art on the Buenos Aires stages of yesteryear.
A family from the fifties remembers their weekend outings to enjoy those Spanish musical shows that graced the billboards of the Avenida or Liceo theaters. Coplas, zarzuelas and flamenco brought together entire families who could, in those years, have the pleasure of "not missing" that figure from Spain or those wonderful dancers who gladdened the hearts of a people eager for that art (whether they were Spanish or not). .
Thus, in a poetic way, the show presents us, frame after frame, different musical styles of Iberian origin, poetry of humor and love, touches of flamenco dance without neglecting two steps of comedy in the style of hors d'oeuvres and farces as Spanish as a shawl or a suit of lights.

The tightrope walker
My grandfather played the accordion next to a box that said "Fragile." A box similar to the one my father used to store works of art, which he finished off. My grandmother dreamed of boxes that she did not open. One day I told him that I also dreamed of one. He advised me not to open it. When I was encouraged, I opened it, and I understood my dad. Then I opened another, and I understood my uncles. Until in the last one, I found myself. My grandfather had crossed the sea with his accordion, hidden in that box that said "Fragile". The same sea that I had to cross, to find out where it came from. Now I understand why.

Bacacay, a premeditated crime
Trial Judge H presents to the audience one of his most unexpected cases. He goes to visit Mr. X with the purpose of helping him solve some problems regarding his properties. Upon his arrival, he learns that Mr. X has died the night before. He decides to stay at the house of his late friend, who has died a natural death, confirmed by his family and service personnel. However, Investigating Judge H is convinced, although without evidence, that his family behaves as if he had been murdered. Following this criterion, he will not stop until he is able to unveil the enigma.

The story takes us to a provincial town where two women, Marta and Juana, friends and eternal rivals, in love with the same man, commit suicide upon learning that he has died. Both finally meet in "the afterlife" to continue their endless confrontation, this time, between tombstones.
The interaction of the characters allows the redefinition of the ties of these two friends with changing alternatives and shows the intricacies of human relationships, with their abrupt statements before and after death.

Mine (of me)
In its first season in Buenos Aires, the renowned group of theater, puppets and stories from Rosario Vamos que nos vamos presents Mío (of me) at the NüN Theater.
Mío (of me) is a work by Carla Rodríguez, a free version of the stories Pedazo de nube, by Malena Blanco and Cositos, by Laura Devetach. It is interpreted by Yanina Gaggino and Nicolás Palma, who narrate their stories in the first person through the manipulation of dolls and objects, shadow theater and songs with original music.
Mío (de mí) is a play designed for early and second childhood based on two stories that embrace each other to highlight the symbolic value of games and toys, those that we treasure since childhood.
The premiere will be on Saturday April 20, then there will be another performance on the 27th and two performances per month in May and June. In July there will be six functions including the winter holidays.

Childhood Space
A unique experience due to its format and concept, the Children's Space of the CCK renews its proposal for boys and girls of all ages in its fourth year of existence. rooms on the third floor of the CCK offer free activities aimed at children: games, workshops, shows for the little ones to play, learn and share with their families.
Curated by the renowned children's artist Magdalena Fleitas, the Ronda de Risas room proposes participatory encounters that use musical language to generate a link with other arts. On Saturdays in March there are music and percussion workshops, and on Sundays, concerts at 5:30 p.m.

XXXII International Poetry Prize LOEWE Foundation
The LOEWE FOUNDATION announces the XXXII Loewe Foundation International Poetry Prize 2019 in Spanish, open to authors of any age and nationality. The deadline to present the unpublished collections of poems ends on June 26 (included) and the jury's decision will take place in October 2019.
The prize money for the LOEWE Prize is €25,000 and the winning work will be published in the Visor de Poesía Collection. In addition, with the desire to promote the poetry of young authors, the LOEWE FOUNDATION plans an Award for Young Creation —endowed with €8,000 and the publication of the book in the Poetry Viewer Collection— for people under 30 years of age, in case they the LOEWE Prize would not have been awarded to an author under that age.

3rd edition of the Clave Festival
From Sunday, May 5 to Sunday, June 3, registration will be open for all those boys and girls between the ages of 13 and 17 who want to participate in the 2019 edition of the Clave Festival in the categories of: soloists and bands, rap, trap, writing, photography, visuals, theater, dance, poetry, writing and shorts.
The Clave Festival is a cultural festival designed by a committee of ten adolescents who, working together with the Recoleta team, put together the call and will select the artists their age who will participate in the festival.
The 300 selected, who will be announced at the end of June, will spend several months of shared experience together before arriving at the festival. In those months they will have workshops, workshops and artistic camps by the hand of referents of the artistic and cultural field such as Camila Fabbri, Mariano Godoy, Laura Paredes, Denise Labraga.
