The Valencia Half Marathon is for many a part of the training for the Marathon, but for others it is the great race they are going to run this year. After months of preparation and sacrifice, the day has come to go out together with 12,000 other athletes to walk the streets of Valencia and once again enjoy the experience of living the fastest Half Marathon in the world (Kandie broke the world record in 2020) and of enjoy one of the best organized races in the world.

Precisely the organization, so that nothing fails at the last minute, has prepared a guide with the latest instructions aimed at popular athletes, with all the necessary information on those details that cannot be forgotten at the last moment. Runner's Fair, how to get to the start, where to park or how to get around by public transport, the services available to athletes before and after the race... EDITORIAL/ VALENCIA

SANITARY AND SAFETY MEASURES

All athletes expressly agree to follow the instructions and restrictions imposed in accordance with the health direction of the event.

Whoever does not follow these rules will not be authorized to participate in the race.

With the registration, a responsible declaration of knowledge of COVID-19 was included with the data intended to guarantee the traceability of the participant.

DORSAL AND CORRIDOR FAIR

· Pick-up of bibs and open-air runner's fair.

EXIT

· Identification bracelet necessary to access the waiting area, cloakroom, box, start, finish line and post finish line. (Friends or relatives who do not run will not be able to accompany you).

· Ordered access to the exit area by sectors and blocks of corridors.

Whoever does not follow these rules will not be authorized to participate in the race.

No medical test (PCR, antigens,...) or vaccination passport will be necessary to participate in the race.

· Departure in separate waves in 15 minutes.

MASK

· Mandatory use at the fair.

· Mandatory use from the waiting area to crossing the start frame, upon reaching the finish line and post finish line (the organization will provide a mask to those who have lost it in the race).

SERVICES

· Increased WC ratio per runner.

· Elimination of massage and shower services.

PUBLIC

· Cyclists along the route reminding the public to keep their distance while watching the race.

HYGIENE MEASURES

· Refreshments attended by volunteers with masks and gloves.

· 50% increase in spending on cleaning and hygiene in all areas of the race.

BEFORE THE RACE

RUNNER FAIR

The Valencia-Trinidad Alfonso EDP Half-Marathon Runner Fair will be located next to the start and finish area, on Avenida dels Tarongers, nº2, on October 22 and 23 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. non-stop.

HOW TO GET?

We recommend the use of public transport.

• EMT VALENCIA

Lines 18, 40, 71, 93 and 98 are the ones with closest stops to the Corredor Fair. In the official app of the EMT València you can see the frequency of lines and waiting time for buses in real time.

• TROLLEY CAR

Tram line 4 has a stop next to the corridor fair, Tarongers. In the official Metrovalencia app you can see the frequency of lines and the wait in real time.

• BICYCLE or VALENBISI

Next to the cloakroom there will be a bike rack for those runners who come with their bicycle. There are parking lots in the area, both to go with your own bicycle or in Valenbisi.

• SCOOTER

Access with scooters will be allowed as long as it is not used in the facilities. The use of a mask is mandatory throughout the premises.

DORSAL COLLECTION AND RUNNER BAG

The number and the runner's bag can be collected at the Runner's Fair on October 22 and 23 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

When you pick up the number, you will be given a bracelet that you must not take off until the end of the test. It will be mandatory to take it on the way out.

You will not be able to authorize anyone to collect the number on your behalf.

Bib numbers will NOT be given out on race day.

Remember to go with your number through the chip control point to check that it works correctly and is assigned to your name.

DURING THE RACE

EXIT

The start of the Valencia Half Marathon will take place on Avenida de Tarongers, next to the Mirador roundabout, on the side of the Universitat Politècnica.

It will be carried out in spaced batches in order to improve the safety of all runners.

YELLOWS: 8:30 a.m.

GREENS: 8:45 a.m.

BLUES: 9:00 a.m.

The opening of the waiting areas will be:

- Yellow: 7:45 a.m.

- Greens: 8:15 a.m.

Blues. 8:30

The color of the numbers has been assigned based on the accredited brand.

To access the waiting area with the color of your number, it will be necessary to show the bracelet that will be delivered when the number is collected.

DORSAL-CHIP

The number must be worn on the front and must be visible at all times. The chip is attached to the dorsal.

WARDROBE

The cloakrooms will be located inside each of the waiting areas (same space as the Runner's Fair) and after the wristband control. Your wardrobe will be the one in the waiting area in the color of your number.

You can leave a bag per registered person identified with the adhesive label that will be given to you for this purpose next to the number. At the end of the test, you will be able to access that area again to collect your bag.

WAITING AND DEPARTURE AREA

In order to control the flow of runners, there will be a waiting area prior to the start boxes that will be located in the same place as the Runner's Fair. This area will be divided into three spaces corresponding to the colors of the number and which will be accessed by the road between the Albalat dels Tarongers Park and the space where the fair is located.

Exceptionally, the change of schedule, box or wave is not allowed.

It is strictly forbidden to go out in a wave of a different color than the one assigned to you on your bib number.

It is recommended to arrive with enough time because the controls will be stricter than usual.

It is not allowed to run without a number or with a number in the name of another person.

The use of a mask is mandatory in the starting boxes and until crossing the starting line.

The maximum time to finish the race is 2h30:00 from the moment the starting line is crossed. Any runner who reaches km 10 after 10:25 am will be disqualified due to their projection of not finishing in the established time.

PRACTICAL

You can run following one of our pilots. They are very experienced runners who will take you at the ideal pace to arrive at your desired time. There will be pilots with brands of:

Sub 1h24 practicals: 1st wave 8:30 a.m.

Sub 1h30 and sub 1h45 practicals: 2nd wave 8:45 a.m.

Sub 2h and sub 2h15 practicals: 3rd wave 9:00 a.m.

They will carry a highly visible banner so that you can identify them at the exit.

AID STATIONS

There will be liquid refreshment posts at kilometer points 5.5, 9.5, 16 and 19, as well as at the finish line. Aquabona and Powerade bottled water will be offered.

Enervit will have a Red Point for gel distribution at kilometer 15.5.

In addition, in post-meta there will be Powerade Zero and solid provisioning.

QUICK ASSISTANCE POINTS

At kilometers 16.7 (next to the Palau de la Música) and 19.4 (Plaza de la Armada Española) and at the finish line. Pharmacy Ribera will set up quick assistance points where Vaseline and Reflex will be provided to any runner who needs it.

In addition, this year Pharmacy Ribera will deliver a 60-gram bag of Vaseline in the runner's bag to prevent chafing during the race.

MEDICAL AND HEALTH SERVICES

There will be 15 ambulances with doctors along the route. In addition, along the route you can find skaters with defibrillators.

The organization has increased this year the ratio of chemical toilets per corridor to avoid queues and grouping of people.

There will be chemical toilets in the start area, waiting area, finish line and at aid stations 5.5, 9.5, 16 and 19.

AFTER THE RACE

MEDAL ENGRAVING

If you contracted the medal recording service, you will have it indicated on your number.

If not, post-finish, once you have finished the race, you can pay it on the spot. Price: 10 euros.

The finisher medal recording service will be located after the refreshment station.

SHOWERS

Exceptionally, this year there will be no shower service.
