The American subsidiary of the Bags and Fashion Articles Gucci has decided to abandon the international antifalsifications coalition, based in Washington, after the entity allowed in April the incorporation of the Chinese giant of electronic commerce Alibaba.

Accusations

Last year Alibaba had weeks of tension with the State Administration of Industry and Commerce of China (SAIC), which accused the company of allowing the trade of numerous false or poor quality products, although the firm denied it and said that it isimpossible to fight the problem without the help of the authorities.

Both parties agreed that Alibaba shares the transaction data of their portals with the Chinese authorities for quality supervision, since the company cannot act against a company or an individual that use its portals as long as there is no formal complaint by someuser.

"The fact is that there is a market for false products," Wang Gao, co-director of the Center for the Globalization of Chinese Companies of the Chinese-Europa International School of Shanghai (CEIBS) told Efe then Efe, then Efe Gaoi (CEIBS) (CEIBS).
